SCR Denitrification
Technical Features
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) denitrification refers to the process in which, with the aid of a catalyst, a reducing agent (such as NH₃) is used to react ‘selectively’ with NOx in the flue gas, thereby producing non-toxic and pollution-free N₂and H₂O.
l A dedicated SCR reactor must be constructed.
l The denitrification process produces N₂ and H₂O, which are directly discharged without pollution.
l The catalyst is selected based on the flue gas temperature.
l The flow rate of the ammonia solution (or ammonia gas, urea solution) is easy to control and adjust.
l The denitrification efficiency is high, reaching up to 98%.
Ø Reducing Agents for SCR Denitrification
The reducing agents for denitrification include: liquid ammonia (NH₃), ammonia solution (NH₃·H₂O), and urea (CO(NH₂)₂).
Ø SCR Denitrification Catalyst
l The main components of the catalyst are V₂O₅, TiO₂, and WO₃.
l Applicable flue gas temperature of the catalyst:
Medium-temperature catalyst: 280°C – 420°C
Low-temperature catalyst: 160°C – 280°C
